Drawing on Druze philosophy, Vessels likens reincarnation to water adapting to its vessel, with each garment marking a stage in the soul’s journey. Silk, chiffon, organza, cotton, jersey, and voile de coton are pleated, printed, and dyed into a poetic visual language, with handmade folds recalling the Druze Mandeel and cyanotype imprints preserving memory in fabric. Silhouettes shift from veiled forms to freer shapes, while repeated pleats and Shibori patterns echo cycles of rebirth.
MEET JIHAN
Jihan Azzam, emerging designer and recent Creative Space Beirut graudate, is focused on research-driven design, fabric manipulation, and conceptual development, drawing inspiration from science, nature, and philosophy. She worked with award-winning Lebanese brand Superyaya, contributing to collection development and construction. Her work translates abstract ideas into wearable narratives through innovative draping, textile experimentation, and attention to detail.
